Dr. Amy V. Harper, a NC Licensed Optometrist, is a native of Mt. Olive, North Carolina. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from East Carolina University with University Honors. Dr. Harper received her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Since June 1, 2005, Dr. Harper has been practicing optometry in Kernersville.

Dr. Harper has a special interest in pediatric and developmental vision and was specially trained in the pediatric unit of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is a participating provider through the InfantSee® program which offers free eye exams to infants 6-12 months of age. She has participated in a medical mission to Guyana, South America.

Dr. Harper offers comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, laser vision consulting, annual diabetic dilated exams, treatment and management of eye diseases, pediatric vision exams and vision therapy. Dr. Harper is able to conduct a routine eye exam in Spanish.

Personally, Dr. Harper is a young, energetic optometrist with a passion for her chosen profession. She has been married for seven years and has a daughter. She and her husband, Overton, are members of First Christian Church in Kernersville. Professionally, she is a member of the Triad Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.
