Overton is a native of Danville, Virginia.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S.B.A - Concentration in Finance from East Carolina University with General Education Honors.  Overton holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University.  Overton also attended Hargrave Military Academy where he graduated Valedictorian in the 90’s.  Since July of 2001, Overton has been in the financial services field where he was employed by Wachovia for a majority of that time.  In October of 2007, he joined his wife in helping her to form Harper Eye Care.

Overton enjoys many aspects of life including spending time with his daughter, automobiles, target shooting, Pirate football, and playing with his Boston Terrier, “Pickle”.  He is a member of First Christian Church, the Rotary Club of Kernersville, and the East Carolina Pirate Club.  He has been happily married to Amy for seven years.  He takes great pride in helping his wife follow her dream of delivering outstanding care to her patients.  “I told Amy when we got married that I would always be willing to follow and support her, and lead when needed.  She has always held a passion for being an Optometrist ever since I met her at East Carolina.  Amy is one of the most passionate, understanding, and caring people that I’ve ever met.  She is a wonderful wife, a nurturing mother, and a concerned doctor for her patients.   I feel blessed that God has given us the opportunity to create Harper Eye Care, and use our talents to give back to His people of this community.”
